I am a semi-serious amateur radio hobbyist involved with the Amateur Radio Emergency Service and the Boy Scouts of America on a number of projects. My interests are largely focused around D-STAR and VHF/UHF radio propagation. I’m less interested in HF, although I think there are definitely some things that we can learn from DXpeditions in terms of portable communication.
My radio room is currently non-existent as I’m still trying to figure out what I want it to do. Living in an apartment doesn’t help very much, as antennas need to be temporary in nature. We’ll be looking into “hidden” antennas as time permits.
